On top of a ridge overlooking the home counties is the old windmill once used by Tolkein as a model for one of the Hobbit villages.
The ancient clay pits nearby were used for the bricks to build beautiful Buckinghamshire
There’s a particular light that attracts artists and the skies dance and shimmer with colour and movement right across to the distant Cotwolds.
Cycling to Brill requires an effort but every season is worth it.
