Cycling into town along side the Welsh Highland railway the iconic castle comes into view.
Built as Edward 1 showpiece fortress it's been a magnet for artists through the centuries.
I loved seeing this from the old industrial end of town and the golden sunset added to the ethereal quality.
I asked the receptionist for her favourite view of the castle and she replied instantly...
