Harlech castle has been standing sentinel over the Cambrian coastline for centuries.
I love the formidable power it exudes on this craggy cliff as the coast sweeps up to the Snowdonian mountains.
In the foreground are the tiny chimney pots and slate rooves which remind this town is also a home.
I stood in the same rock park as the artist JWM Turner to create this painting of the iconic castle. His work hangs in the Tate.
