The pretty village of Whitehead along the causeway coast was founded as a tourist attraction in victorian times.
The lovely bracing walk to the Blackhead lighthouse and caves have been a favourite with visitors ever since.
Cordeline palms line the way. Black volcanic deposits from the ice age line the shore.
In the evening light I cycled along here.
