Hill of Forgiveness

On the Camino De Santiago there are many significant spots.

None more so than the Alto Del Pedronthe Hill of Forgiveness

Walkers have a steep climb up from Pamplona. For cyclists, it’s even tougher. In the lashing rain and howling wind I reached the windy, lonely , outcrop and the famous iron statues whining and blowing in the gale. The wind turbines kept up their howling and groaning. The peregrinos hurried past.

I stopped and sketched and got wetter and colder in the wild weather.

It was worth it.

All is forgiven
